The purpose of O. A. Y. C. is to help an Oklahoma United Pentecostal Church by providing the local pastor and church family with the resources needed to evangelize their community and to allow the youth of Oklahoma to experience servant evangelism like never before. We are striving to reach Oklahoma with the Gospel of Jesus Christ with our very own Oklahoma Youth. Every year the event has a tendency to be a little bit different than the previous year as the local pastor and church family get the opportunity to evangelize their city in the way they think would be the most effective. These events have ranged from putting door hangers on every door, to sticky notes on doors and handed out at stores and parks, to handing out bottled water and hot dogs, to brochures from the local church showing the services and activities they provide. This program is reviewed and approved by both the Oklahoma District Youth Committee and the Oklahoma District Board every year.
