Fundraising Ideas

Take the parking lot hostage
-Have the youth take the parking lot exits hostage at the end of service. The only way to get out is to make a donation of any amount to SFC. It is a good idea to have some of your “hostiles” have some extra change so that they can give for someone who may not have anything to give.

Game Night
-Charge a higher entry fee than you usually would for a youth event and promise the kids the time of their life with video games, crowd games, social interaction, and other creative ideas.

Gift Basket Auction
-Ask for volunteers to bring themed items (fishing, lotions, snacks, scrap booking) to make gift baskets. The baskets could be placed in the church foyer and bid on by silent auction or at a church dinner.

Donation Dinners
-Host a church dinner and ask for donations instead of charging for tickets.

Work for Tips
-Some restaurants will allow you to work the tables for a few hours and your group can keep the tips.

Personalized pan orders
- “That’s My Pan” is a company that you can take orders for personalized pie or cake pans.

The Classics still work
- Car washes, garage sales, bake sales, rent a worker

Change Wars
- Organize a friendly competition between age groups or gender for a specified time to raise funds. The group who raises the most money wins.

Mazzio’s Fundraising
-Mazzio’s has several options for raising funds for your local group. Selling coupon books, fundraiser night, receipt rewards, and a few other ideas. Go to Mazzios.com and click on the fundraising tab to find out more details.

Thrifty Mart
-Have a coupon queen from your church search through the newspaper and internet for coupons for everyday items. This thrifty person usually watches the local grocery store ads as well to know when it’s best to use the coupons. Items can be bought extremely cheap and resold in the church fellowship hall. Why not support SFC with the profits instead of Homeland!?

Envelope System Description

Take envelopes and label them 1 to whatever number you choose. These are dollar amounts. Place the envelopes on a table and have church members take one. Which ever one they choose will be the dollar amount that they will put back in the envelope. For example, envelope 44 will be $44.00. The most anyone will give is the highest number of envelopes you use.

For example: If you take 75 envelopes, you will label them 1 to 75. These are the dollar amounts. Place the envelopes on a table and have church members take one. Which ever one they choose will be the dollar amount that they will put back in the envelope. The most anyone will have to give in this example is $75. When all 75 envelopes are turned in, you will have raised $2,850.00!
